Obituary of Agnes V. (Keegan) Scott

Agnes Veronica (Keegan) Scott, 87, of Peabody and formerly of Lynn, died Saturday evening at the Hunt Nursing Home in Danvers following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of Charles Scott with whom she shared over 63 years of marriage. Born in Lynn,she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary (McNeil) Keegan. She was raised and educated in Lynn and was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School. She has lived in Peabody for the past 50 years. After high school, Agnes was employed at General Electric in West Lynn as a Punch Press Operator, a job she held during WWII and for a few years afterwards before she retired. Her favorite time of year was summer where she enjoyed swimming and gardening, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family and being there for them at their time of need. Besides her loving husband, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Diane and John Sudak of Georgetown, her two sisters, Rita Porcella of Lynn and Theresa Sullivan of Revere and by her twin grandchildren,Michael J. Sudak of Portsmouth, NH and Jennifer Sudak of Lynn Haven, FL. She was predeceased by her brothers, Charles, Joseph, and Daniel Keegan. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody and her Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery,Lynn.
