Obituary of Steven A Druhan

Steven A Druhan, 51, of Peabody and formerly of Amesbury and Beverly, died Monday evening at the Kindred Hospital Boston North Shore following a brief illness. He was the devoted husband to his wife and best friend Sharon (Akre) Druhan with whom he shared 28 years of marriage. Born in Lynn he was the son of the late Alexander Druhan and Virginia (Richardson) Buxton and her husband Bruce of Florida. He was raised and educated in Groveland and was a graduate of Pentucket Regional High School, class of 1980. Steven was employed as a machinist for over 35 years and worked for various companies on the North Shore. He enjoyed fishing, boating, and playing darts and was an avid sports fan of all of Boston’s professional sports teams. Besides his loving wife, he is survived by his two daughters and their companions, Amanda Druhan and Ben Dawson, and Jessica Druhan and Joshua Cicco, all of Peabody, his brother Robert Druhan of FL, his sister, Diane Smith of NH, his beloved granddaughter Madison “Little Poopa” Cicco, his father and mother-in-law, George and Jane Akre of Peabody, his brother and sisters-in-law, Cheryl Akre-Teal and Jamie Akre, both of Peabody and Sandra Withers of Merrimac, NH and is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Kevin M. Akre. Following cremation visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. His Memorial Service will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
