Obituary of Caroline (Cotton) Graves

Caroline (Cotton) Graves, 80, of Peabody died Monday at the Ledgewood Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center, Beverly following a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Raymond H. Graves who died last October. She was born in Peabody on February 12, 1923, the daughter of the late John and Ruth (Toye) Cotton and was educated and resided in Peabody most of her life. She was active in St. John’ s Church, Peabody where she taught CCD classes and was a member and past president of the St. John’ s Ladies Sodality. She enjoyed cooking, shopping, walking and caring for her grandchildren. She is survived by 4 sons, John Graves and his wife Anne Mc Donald of Orleans, Ma., Robert J. Graves and his wife Ann Peabody of Peabody, Ned and Deb Graves of Lowell and Richard Bailey of Fall River, Ma., a daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Tim Callahan of Milton, a sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Clair Willits of Great Falls, Montana; 12 grandchildren, Dustin, Tim and Andy Graves and Corey Coleman all of Orleans, Joey Graves of Peabody, Caroline, Susie, Timmy, John and Erin Callahan, all of Milton, Richard Bailey of Stark, Me and Cindy Roy of Augusta, Me and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late John Cotton. Her funeral will be held on Friday at 10:00 a.m from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 12 Chestnut St., Peabody facility followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John’ s Church, Peabody at 11:00 a.m. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
