Obituary of John Diminture

John Diminture, 85, of Peabody, died on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at the NSMC Salem Hospital after a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of Anastasia (Tilas) Diminture with whom he shared 62 years of marriage. He was born and raised in Chelsea, MA and was the son of the late Gregory and Eva (Yaroschuk) Diminture. John Served in the US Army and worked with the Russian Military Intelligence Group in California after graduating from Chelsea High School. Following his discharge, he graduated from Coyne Electrical in Boston, MA. He was a retired employee of Verizon. Besides his loving wife, Anastasia, he is survived by his seven children, Eve and Dr. Frederick Carrick of Cocoa,FL, John and Yuan Diminture of St. Cloud, FL, Gregory Diminture , Helene and John Rogers and Stephanie and James Warren all of Peabody, Stacey and James Yavorski of Georgetown, and Thomas and Lisa Diminture of San Antonio, TX. His cherished grandchildren, Tricia Carrick, Stacy Diminture, Alexis Silva, John and Thomas Rogers; Sophia, Bryant and Vanessa Yavorski; Alaina and Michael Warren , and Anthony, Nicholas , Thomas, Troy, Dylan and Sierra Diminture. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren and was the brother of Elizabeth Bonita of Chelsea and Mary Teodorson of FL. He was the grandfather of the late James Carrick and the brother of the late Clara Diminture. A Visitation will be held on Sunday, Sept. 14, 2014 from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. His funeral will be held on Monday at 9:00 AM from the funeral home followed by Services in St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church, Peabody at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
