I was so distressed to learn of Gail's death. I have known her since 1956 when we entered Wellesley College together. I have never known a nicer person-she was always good-natured, helpful, and a very hard worker, besides being so smart and so knowledgeable about so many things. She and I worked on some Wellesley reunions together, and she always knew how to fix things when anything went wrong. It is heartbreaking to learn that she died from such a terrible disease.
