Obituary of Michael J. Flynn

Michael J. Flynn DANVERS—Michael J. Flynn, 47, of Hooksett and formerly of Danvers, beloved husband of Christina (Edwards) McGown Flynn, died suddenly at their home in Hooksett, NH in his sleep early Saturday morning September 13, 2014. Born in Lynn, he was the son of James Flynn of Danvers and the late Marcia (Kiley) Flynn. He grew up in Danvers where he attended schools, and graduated from North Shore Vocational/Tech High School. Mr. Flynn worked mostly with Verizon in the Reading office as a Technician. Mike enjoyed playing hockey and enjoyed that sport, along with Nascar racing. He built and tinkered with several hot rod cars in his younger days. He will be remembered mostly for his kind dedication to his family, and will be missed greatly by those who knew him. He is survived by his wife Christina (Edwards) Flynn of Hooksett, NH with whom he shared 16 years of marriage; a son Matthew McGown & his fiancee Liz Mele of NH and daughter Amanda White & her husband Kevin of NH; two grandchildren, Briella and Brody White of NH; his father James Flynn of Danvers; a sister Christine Elliott of Danvers, and several nieces and nephews. Following cremation, relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather for a Funeral Service on Saturday September 20, 2014 at 10 AM in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. A visitation will be held on Thursday Sept. 18th from 5 – 8 P.M. Urn burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
