Obituary of Sonia (Kachuk) Maklae

Sonia (Kachuk) Maklae PEABODY Sonia (Kachuk) Maklae, 82, beloved wife of the late John Maklae, died unexpectedly at the Renaissance Gardens at Brooksby Village on Saturday morning. Born in Haverhill, she was the daughter of the late Gregory and Olga Kachuk. She lived there and lived many years in Peabody. She was a former member at St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church in Salem, and enjoyed living in Hollywood, FL in her retirement. She is survived by: two sons, Gregory Maklae of Gloversville, NY and John Maklae of Colorado Springs, CO; one grandson, Daniel Maklae of Colorado Springs, CO, and several nieces and nephews. Her Funeral Ceremony will be held on Wednesday at 10 AM in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut St. location, Peabody, to which relatives and friends are kindly invited. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 6 to 8 P.M. Cremation will follow the ceremony, and urn burial will be in the Spring
