Obituary of Richard E Brodeur
Richard E. Brodeur, 82, of Peabody and formerly of Worcester, died Monday evening at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers following a long illness. He was the devoted husband of Natalie (Kozlowski) Brodeur with whom he shared 27 years of marriage.
Born in Worcester, he was the son of the late Francis and Alma (Metivier) Brodeur. He was raised and educated in Worcester and was a graduate of Assumption High School, class of 1950. He continued his education at Assumption College and received his bachelor’s degree.
Richard was employed for over 25 years as a manager of the Texaco Gas Station in Stoneham before retiring in 2000. He enjoyed traveling on cruises and loved going to Hampton Beach.
Besides his loving wife, he is survived by his step son Steven Doucette and his long time companion Deborah L. Stevens of Peabody and by his brother David and his wife Lucy Brodeur of Worcester and also by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Ronald Brodeur.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:30 AM at St. Adelaide’s Church, Lowell Street Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 8:00 AM until 10:00 AM. Burial services will be private and held in Worcester. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the Kaplan Family Hospice House, 78 Liberty St.,, Danvers, MA 01923.
