Obituary of Clifford E Nunes
Clifford E. Nunes, 77, of Danvers, died early Sunday morning with his family by his side at Salem Hospital following a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of Santa “Tina” (Pirrotta) Nunes with whom he shared over 57 years of marriage.
Born in Peabody, he was the son of the late Edward and Aldina (Selvo) Nunes. He was a lifelong resident of Danvers. Clifford worked for over sixty years in various positions at the Salem Country Club in Peabody, retiring this past September.
While at home, he enjoyed gardening, cooking and later he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and sharing in all of their endeavors.
Besides his loving wife Tina, he is survived by his five sons and three daughter-in-laws, Edward and Kimberly, Richard and Kirsten, John and Debra, William and Robert Nunes, all of Danvers, his seven grandchildren, Edward and his wife Denelle, Keven and his wife Jayna, Jacob, Anya, Isabelle, and Nicole Nunes, and Christopher Robert. He is also survived by a great granddaughter, Kaylee Nunes.
His funeral mass will be held on Wednesday at 8:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:00 AM at St. Richards Church, Forest St. Danvers to which relatives and friend are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM and burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
