Obituary of Dolores C. (Bastain) Mc Neilly

Dolores C. (Bastain) Mc Neilly, 83, of Wilson Terrace and formerly of Smidt Ave, Peabody died Sunday at the Lahey Medical Center in Burlington after a short illness. She was the wife of the late Frederick Mc Neilly who died this past February and with whom she shared 65 years of marriage. She was born in Boston on December 11, 1919, the daughter of the late Henry F. and Florence (Bach) Bastain and had resided there before moving to Peabody 60 years ago. She had been a sales clerk at the former S.S. Kresge Company store at the North Shore Mall in Peabody for 8 years prior to her retirement. She like to knit and crochet and loved taking care of her family, neighbors and friends. She is survived by two sons and their wives, James R. and Carol Mc Neilly of Danvers and F. David and Roseanne Mc Neilly of East Falmouth; six grandchildren; Andrew and Liam Mc Neilly of Georgia, James Mc Neilly of Beverly, Catherine Heck of Woburn, Michael Mc Neilly of Florida and Brian Mc Neilly of California; six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Raymond H. Bastain and Theresa Barrett. Her funeral will be held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 20 Church St., Peabody facility followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John the Baptist Church, Peabody at 11:00 a.m. Burial in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem. Visiting hours on Wednesday from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
