Obituary of John R. Hines

John R. Hines, 54, of Peabody, cherished husband of Joanne (Thomaszewski) Hines, died on Sunday, November 16, 2014 with his family by his side at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. John was born in Boston, on August 24, 1960, son of Ryland J. Hines and the late Jean (Acker) Hines. He was raised in Saugus and graduated from Saugus High School Class of 1978. Prior to his moving to Peabody in 1996, he resided in Chelsea and Saugus. John was employed for over 25 years as a glazier at Peabody Glass in Peabody until retiring in 2009 due to his failing health. John devoted his life to creating a home for his family and was quite proud of his son Jonathan’s accomplishments. He also enjoyed riding his Harley Motorcycle with his many friends and golfing as a hobby. In addition to his wife with whom he shared 32 years of marriage and his father Ryland of Saugus, he is survived by his loving son Jonathan R. Hines of Reading; a sister Nancy J. Hines-Suarez and her husband John of Saugus; several bothers-in-laws and sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. John’s family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. His Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at 12 noon in the funeral home. Burial will be held at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
