Obituary of Theresa M. (Killeen) Bogan

Theresa M. (Killeen) Bogan PEABODY—Theresa M. (Killeen) Bogan, 85, of Peabody died peacefully on Friday at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers after a long illness. She was born and raised in Peabody, daughter of the late Patrick J. and Katherine (Connolly) Killeen. She graduated from Peabody High School in 1948. She worked as a telephone operator for the New England Telephone Company and then spent many years as a homemaker raising her family in Salem. She is survived by her 3 children; Ron Bogan and his partner Julie Wallace of Danvers, Kathleen Miksis and her husband Neil of Middleton, Patrick Bogan and his wife Stacy of Mansfield, Texas. She was the loving Nana to her 5 grandchildren, Johannah and Margot Miksis, John, Erin, and Stephen Bogan. Theresa is also survived by her sister-in-law Louise Killeen of Beverly and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Thomas, Mary, William, Ernest and Katherine Killeen. Theresa was a true “people-person” known for her warmth, good humor and genuine interest in everyone she met. In the last years of her life, she resided at Rosewood in Peabody where she cultivated many friends among the wonderful people who work there. The family would like to publicly thank the entire staff of Rosewood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their outstanding care and unwavering kindness. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather on Tuesday November 25, 2014 at 10 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 AM in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Peabody. A visitation will be held on Monday from 5 – 7 P.M. in the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
