Obituary of Jane A. Donnelly

Peabody—Jane A. Donnelly of Peabody and Largo, Florida passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2014 at Hathorne Hill in Danvers surrounded by her loving family. Jane bravely battled cancer for the past several months. She was the daughter of Mary E. (Kenneally) Donnelly and was born in Malden, Massachusetts. Jane spent her early years in Revere. MA moving to Everett in 1943 where she attended the Immaculate Conception School, Parlin Jr. High School and was a graduate of Everett Senior High School in 1955. Following Jane’s graduation from Everett High she was employed by Lloyd’s Wallpaper Company of Newbury St., Boston and later with Paine Furniture Co. located on Arlington St. Boston as a sales representative. While working at Paine Furniture, Jane became associated with several decorating specialists affiliated with shops on Newbury St. and due to this association she became well versed and knowledgeable in fabrics and decoration styles as was evident by the home she kept in Largo. In the late 70’s Jane moved from Massachusetts to Florida and settled in Largo where she was employed as a procurement officer in the banking industry. In her later years, Jane became a private home care specialist and she cared for several seniors in the Largo area. She in survived by her sisters: Patricia Desmond; Anne (Thomas) Zellen; and Claire Anderson all of Peabody; Kathleen Donnelly of New York City and …. Maine; and Frances (Philip) Yosway of Williamsburg, VA; a brother Edward Donnelly of Reston, VA.; sisters-in-law Susan Donnelly of Boston and Irene Donnelly, of Merrimack, NH, as well as many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sister Virginia Donnelly of Everett, brothers John of Merrimack, NH and Richard of Boston as well as nephews, Thomas Zellen II of Peabody and Glen Donnelly of Merrimack, NH. A viewing will take place on Saturday December 6 from 10:15 AM at St. Adelaides Church, Lowell Street followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Jane’s name to St. Adelaides Church, 708 Lowell St. Peabody, MA. 01960.
