Obituary of Amelia M. (Falzarano) Goglia
Amelia M. (Falzarano) Goglia, 90, of Peabody, died early Sunday morning at her granddaughter’ s home, Brenda Sawyer of the Hospice of the North Shore, following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Silvio Goglia.
Born in Saugus, she was the daughter of the late John and Maria (Caporale) Falzarano. She was raised and educated in Saugus and later lived in Peabody.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family. She also worked as a waitress on the North Shore and before that, she worked for General Electric.
She enjoyed traveling to Connecticut and casino gambling at Mohegan Sun. She also enjoyed playing bingo, sewing and cooking.
She is survived by her two sons and a daughter-in-law, Richard Goglia of Manchester, NH and Paul and Barbara Goglia of Middleton, a brother, Elmo Falzarano of Melrose, a sister, Gloria Peluso of Peabody, and is also survived by four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Clement, Frank, John, and Vincent Falzarano, Lucille Indorato, Rose Ioudice and Mary Mazzi.
Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM in St. John’ s Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
At the request of the family there are no visiting hours, and in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Hospice of the North Shore, 10 Elm St., Danvers, MA 01960
