Obituary of Richard F. Maher

Richard F. Maher, 57, of Winthrop, passed away peacefully on Saturday December 13, 2014 at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital after a brief illness. He was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School in 1975 and had lived in Lynn before moving to Winthrop. He had worked for the Corolla Roofing Co. of Winthrop for many years and had been a member of the Winthrop Lodge of Elks. He is survived by his mother, Frances Richardson of Peabody, his brother and sister-in-law Bill and Susan Maher of Swampscott, his sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Steve Pica of Key West Florida and a sister, Kathy Bennett of Peabody, his nieces and nephews, Patrick Pica of New York, Gina Pica of Virginia, Cody and Samantha Maher of Swampscott and Frances Bennett of Nahant. A Visitation will be held on Thursday, December18, 2014 from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill- Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn Street Peabody facility. Burial will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM at the family lot in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lynnfield St., Lynn. Those attending please meet at the Lynnfield St. gate at 10: 45 AM. A Reception will be held later Friday from 4-8 PM at the Winthrop Lodge of Elks Hall at 191 Washington St., Winthrop MA. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
