Obituary of Julie L. (Lewis) Linehan

Julie (Lewis) Linehan, 86, of Salem and formerly of Rochester, NY, died peacefully on Tuesday at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Timothy J. Linehan. Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Constance (Saints) Lewis. She was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Salem High School, class of 1945. Julie was employed for over 30 years as a secretary for the Kodak Corporation in Rochester, New York before retiring many years ago. Julie was an avid golfer and bowler and was a member of the Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, New York for 35 years. She also enjoyed skiing, knitting, and sewing. Julie is survived by her two sisters, Evelyn Nabozny of Peabody and Mary Lewis of Salem and also by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, William L. Lewis, Francis Luis, Manuel Luis, Jr., Constance “Connie” Mello and Ida Longeway. Julie’s family is grateful for the dedicated staff at Aviv Centers for Living for their compassion and professional support. Following cremation, her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 12:00 PM at St. John’s Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial Service will be private in New York. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
