Obituary of Irene F. (Harrison) Farrell

Irene F. (Harrison) Farrell, 83, of Peabody, died Saturday evening at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington following a brief illness. Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Mary Ellen (Coan) Harrison. She was a lifelong resident of Peabody and a graduate of St. John’s High School, class of 1948. Irene was employed with the Stahl Finish Company in Peabody for over 15 years and waitressed at the former Colonial Restaurant in Lynnfield for over 20 years. Upon her retirement, she worked an additional 5 five years as a custodian at Bishop Fenwick High School in Peabody. She also volunteered for the HAWC program and Road to Recovery program as well. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Francis “Hank” and Jan Farrell of Danvers, her daughter, Mary Jo Liacos of Goffstown, NH, and by her four grandchildren, Mary Ellen, Paul, and John Liacos and Daniel Farrell. She was predeceased by her son Paul Farrell and her siblings, Arthur “Mickey”, Eddie, and Robert “Sammy” Harrison, Mary E Pierce and Alice Rowell. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday at 8:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:00 AM at St. John’s Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 until 7:00 PM. Burial services will be private.
