Obituary of Katherine Irene (Niemczyk) Peterson

Katherine Irene (Niemczyk) Peterson, 89, of Peabody, died early Tuesday morning at her niece’ s residence in Pepperell, following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Harold Oscar Peterson. Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Helen (Swalegen) Niemczyk. She was a lifelong resident of Peabody, and was a graduate of Peabody High School. Prior to her retirement, she worked for over 40 years as an inspector for GTE Sylvania in Danvers. She loved to dance and was a member of the Polish Club of Danvers. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, and grandnieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Charles and Henry Niemczyk and Anna Alberghini. Her Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 10:00 AM in St. Ann’ s Church, Peabody, to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. At the request of the family, there will be no visiting hours; however, donations can be made in her name to the Hospice of Nashoba Nursing Service, 2 Shaker Rd., Shirley, MA 01464.
