Obituary of Joanne M Zawacki

Joanne M. (Tracchia) Zawacki, 64, of Peabody, died Saturday afternoon surrounded by her loving family at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers following a brief illness. Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Quintino M and Marion E (Donnelly) Tracchia. She was a life long resident of Peabody and a graduate of Peabody High School, class of 1968. Joanne was employed with the telephone company for many years and finally before retiring she was the director of operations at Atlantic Interstate Messengers in Woburn. Joanne enjoyed gardening, flowers and spending time with family and friends and sharing in all of their endeavors. She will be dearly missed by all the lives she touched. She is survived by her son Peabody Police Sergeant Eric M. Zawacki of Danvers, her brother, Michael P. Tracchia of Tampa, FL, her sister, Ellen M Shaw of Peabody and by many nieces and nephews to whom she was very close to and is also survived by her dog IKO. Her funeral will be held on Thursday at 9:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Ann’s Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
