Obituary of Richard W. Grant

Richard W. Grant BEVERLY – Richard W. Grant, 74, died on Saturday January 17, 2015 at the Beverly Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Beverly, he was the son of the late Paul and Ruth (Elliott) Grant. He grew up there and graduated from Beverly High School. He served in the United States Air Force, stationed in Europe during the Cold War. Mr. Grant worked with the Internal Revenue Service for his career, retiring a little less than 10 years ago. He lived in Laurel, Maryland for most of his life, and returned to Beverly for the last few years. Dick was a volunteer with the Trustees of Reservations at Plum Island for several years, and enjoyed traveling to Florida in winter. He is survived by several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday January 31, 2015 at 2 PM in the Chapel at Calvary Christian Church in Lynnfield to which relatives and friends are kindly invited. Cremation Service planned with Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, Peabody.
