Obituary of Paul M Kostopoulos
Paul M. Kostopoulos, 67, of Peabody, died early Tuesday evening at Beverly Hospital following a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of Katherine Athena (Drillis) Kostopoulos with whom he shared over 48 years of marriage.
Born and raised in Peabody, he was the son of Agnes (Orgettas) Kostopoulos of Peabody and the late Michael Kostopoulos. He was a lifelong resident of Peabody and attended Peabody Schools. He was a 2nd generation leather worker at M & K sons Leather in Peabody and later worked alongside with his son as a limousine driver for Michael’ s Limousine’ s in Peabody. He also was a member of the National Guard for over 9 years.
Besides his loving wife of 48 years, he is survived by a son and a daughter-in-law, Michael and Renee Kostopoulos of Salem; 4 daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Chuck Kalogianis of Tampa, Fla., Denise and James Pashby, Nikki and David Carbone, and Angela and Tom Mansell, all of Peabody; 2 sisters and brothers-in-law, Sylvia and Richard Warman of Middleton and Deborah and James Voulgarakis of New York, a sister-in-law, Barbara Kostopoulos of Pensacola, Fla., 13 grandchildren, Nicholas, Christopher, Alexander, Peter, Paul, Elena, Katie, Courtney, Mike, Paul, Krystin, Jennifer and Nycole; 1 great grandchild, Katrina. He was the brother of the late Nicholas Kostopoulos.
His funeral service will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut St., Peabody Facility, followed by a Service at 12:00 Noon at St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation on Thursday from 4-8 PM. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
