Obituary of Frank J. Cause

Frank J. Cause SALEM – Frank J. Cause, 66, beloved husband of Judy (Gagnon) Cause of Salem and Lynn, died peacefully on Wednesday February 18, 2015 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers while in the comforting presence of his family, after a valiant challenge living with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, or ALS. Born in Chelsea, he was the son of the late James and Mildred (McCormick) Cause. He lived there for a few years, then grew up in Lynn where he attended schools and graduated from Lynn English High School. He continued his education at Northeastern University, then received a Master in Business Administration from Suffolk University. Mr. Cause was a specialist in production management with several manufacturing companies, including Raytheon, New England CRInc, and Parker Brothers. He most recently worked in warehouse facility services with UPS in Chelmsford where he was a member of the Teamsters Union for over 10 years. Frank lived life with gusto. He was athletic and loved sports. He ran in several marathons, was an umpire for high school baseball games on the North Shore, coached youth soccer for his daughters, loved golf, playing tennis, and was a devoted Red Sox and Patriots enthusiast. Frank was also an avid reader and a loyal fan of Elvis Presley. In addition, civic minded, Frank was a frequent Blood Donor with the Red Cross and volunteered with the Big Brother Association. He is survived by his wife Judy (Gagnon) Cause of Lynn & Salem, with whom he shared 45 years of marriage; two daughters and sons-in-law, Emily Cause & her husband Mike McCall of Somerville and Amanda & her husband Mike Kefalas of VA; two granddaughters Edie & Sylvie McCall of Somerville; two sisters Marilyn Norfolk and RoseMarie Johnson both of Lynn, and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather for a visitation on Sunday February 22, 2015 from 2 – 5 P.M. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. Cremation will be held then all are invited for his Funeral Service on Tuesday February 24, 2015 at 10 AM in the funeral home. Urn burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Memorial donations may be made to the ALS Association, 320 Norwood Park South, Norwood, MA 02062.
