Obituary of Diana Porter-DiChiara
Diana Porter-DiChiara, 55, of Peabody, died at her home on Thursday, March 5, 2105 with her loving family by side.
Diana was born in Peabody, on April 4, 1959 the daughter of the late James and Marguerite J. (Birmingham) Anderson. She was raised in Peabody, graduated from Peabody Veterans Memorial High School in 1977 and was a lifelong resident.
Diana was employed for 16 years as assistant store manager at T&L Liquors in West Peabody. As a parent, Diana loved her children and assured that they had many recreational, athletic and educational opportunities throughout their lives. She enjoyed martial arts, playing her daily Keno numbers, her liquor store customers and had a special place in her heart for her Black Lab mix Deano.
Diana is survived by her 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, Wayne J. DiChiara, and Nicholas W. and Michaela DiChiara all of Peabody; her former husband, Wayne DiChiara of Peabody; her siblings and their spouses, Edward Porter of Lowell, Carole and Mike Wiltse of IL, and Tina and Paul Colwell of ME; and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her brother Kevin Anderson.
As per Diana’s request, a Celebration of Life service will be held at the American Legion at 37 School Street, South Hamilton, MA, 01982 on Saturday March 14 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. In lieu of flowers the family requested that memorial contributions be made to MGH / North Shore Cancer Center, www.massgeneralnorthshore.org , 102 Endicott St., Danvers, MA 01923.
