Obituary of Theodore T. Waring

Theodore T. Waring PEABODY Theodore T. Waring, 83, beloved husband of the late Jeanne (Lucy) Waring, died Thursday morning at the Academy Manor Nursing Home in Andover following a brief illness. Born in Zanesville, OH, he was the son of the late Stanley and Bessie (Kobrys) Wojcik. He lived on the family’ s dairy farm in Boonesville, NY where he attended local schools. He was a veteran of World War II, with service in the United States Army. He was stationed in the Southwest and Pacific Theatres, mostly in Saipan. Mr. Waring worked as an Engineer with several companies manufacturing under contracts with the Department of Defense. He worked with Hughes Aircraft, Morton Thiokol, Martin Marietta, and Avco. He worked with computers at Wang Laboratories also, and retired 17 years ago. He enjoyed gardening with flowers and vegetables, and was a communicant of St. Adelaide’ s Church for many years. He mostly enjoyed being at home with family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by: his daughter and son-in-law, June & Michael DiModica of Andover; two twin granddaughters, Stephanie and Elizabeth DiModica of Andover; a sister, Sophie Petow of Rome, NY, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanne, and brothers John Wojcik and Stephen Wojcik. His funeral will be held on Saturday at 9 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut St. location, Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 AM in St. Adelaide’ s Church, Peabody, to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. A visitation will be held today from 4 to 8 P.M. Burial will be in St. Mary’ s Cemetery, Salem. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
