Obituary of William M. "Bill" Marmion
William M. “Bill” Marmion, 74, of Peabody passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family early Sunday morning at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, following a brief illness.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late William and Ida (Apicella) Marmion. He was raised and educated in Brooklyn, New York and after completing high school, he enlisted with the United States Navy and maintained a life long pride in his Navy service.
Bill had a big heart and underlying love for his family. He enjoyed life with his wife, best friend and soul mate, Betty Ann (Randazzo) Marmion.
Bill touched countless lives but most especially his beloved wife Betty Ann. Besides his loving wife, he is survived by his children, Michael Marmion and his fiancé Denise Christy of Methuen, William Marmion of Peabody, Michelle Rothwell and her husband Richard of Methuen, his nephews, Chris and Justin Butler of Peabody, his precious grandchildren, MacKenzie and Piper Marmion, and Richard, William and Edward Rothwell, his sister, Marie and her husband Ken Racioppo of New York, his brother, Robert Marmion and his wife Donna of Texas, his sisters-in-law Sandra Sullivan and her husband Mike of Wakefield, Helen Brandt of Danvers, his brothers-in-law, Charles Randazzo and his wife Barbara of Middleton, and Frank Randazzo of Danvers, and several loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Robert Marmion and his sister-in-law, Rosemary Butler.
Bill’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all close friends, medical team members and family who have offered their support and love throughout his treatments.
