Robert A. Mallard
PEABODY – Robert A. Mallard, 62, beloved husband of Jackie (Meadors) Mallard of Lynn, died unexpectedly on Thursday April 9, 2015 at the North Shore Medical Center—Union Hospital in Lynn.
Born in Peabody, he was the son of the late John and Dorothy (Proulx) Mallard. He grew up in Peabody where he attended schools. He also attended Essex Agricultural & Technical High School of Danvers.
Mr. Mallard was in the United States Navy, and served during the Vietnam War.
He was a Licensed Electrician and worked for Paras Electric for many years. He also did small jobs on the side in his own business.
Bob was an outdoorsman, and enjoyed many camping trips with his wife to Sunset Park in Hampstead, NH. He enjoyed paddling on a canoe, white water raft riding, and just taking time in nature. He enjoyed traveling to the Keys of Florida and Bar Harbor, ME. He also enjoyed various Golf Outings with groups.
He is survived by his wife Jackie (Meadors) Mallard of Lynn, with whom he shared 38 years of marriage; a brother and sister-in-law, John & Linda Mallard of FL formerly of Peabody; a sister and brother-in-law Janice & Chris Cornet of Peabody; a sister-in-law Mary Mallard of Peabody, and several nieces and a nephew. He was preceded in death, besides his parents, by brothers Paul and Frank, and a sister Barbara Mallard.
Following cremation, relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather on Thursday April 16, 2015 from 3:30 – 5:30 PM in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by a Funeral Ceremony at 5:45 P.M.
