Obituary of Joyce F. (Barros) Comeau

Joyce F. (Barros) Comeau 65, of Peabody, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 15, 2015. Joyce was born in Peabody on October 9, 1949 the daughter of the late Frank and Frances (Silveria) Barros. She was raised in Peabody and graduated from Peabody High School in 1967 and has been a lifelong resident of the city. Joyce’s life revolved around her children and she was very involved in their many recreational, athletic and educational achievements. For the past 3 years she was so proud of her 4 cherished grandchildren. Many will remember her from attending at the Peter A. Torigian Life Center and the Lynn Senior Center where she was a member, and as hobbies she enjoyed her flower garden, crocheting and spending time with her family and friends. Joyce is survived by her loving children, Denise M. Comeau and her companion Daniel O’Neill of Methuen, Gregory C. Comeau of Peabody, Jeffrey P. Comeau and his wife Shannon of Gloucester; her cherished grandchildren, Lily and Miles Comeau, Daniel and Emma O’Neill; 2 sisters, Lorraine M. Terrio of Lynn and Shirley Gagnon of Peabody; her former husband, Donald P. Comeau of Nahant and many nieces and nephews. Joyce’s family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, April 20, 2015 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody.
