Obituary of Steven Michael "Mikey" Waldrop

Steven Michael “Mikey” Waldrop 50, of Peabody, died on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Lahey Medical Center in Burlington with his loving family at his side. Mikey was born in Atlanta, Georgia on September 4, 1964 son of Ann B. (Berry) Waldrop and the late Donald Reid Waldrop. In 1978, his family moved to Peabody where he attended and graduated from Peabody Veterans Memorial High School in 1986. Mikey was a member of the Northeast Arc Work Program and over his years of employment, some of his most memorable were for the City of Peabody under the late Mayor Peter Torigian, at McDonald’s on Main Street in Peabody and the former Ann & Hope Store in Danvers. Mikey loved listening to oldies, dancing non-stop and his favorite TV show was I Love Lucy. In addition to his loving and caring mother Ann of Peabody, Mikey is survived by his cherished sister and brother, Valerie A. Waldrop, and Gregory K. Waldrop and his fiancée Tara Bean, his nieces, Brianna, Alyssa and Samantha Waldrop all of Peabody; a step-niece, Jade Johnson of Peabody, 6 cousins, Elaine, Paul, Ellen, Laurie, Cindy and Melanie and numerous friends.
