Obituary of Norman L. Bouchard

Norman L. Bouchard 73 years of Peabody, husband of the late Jeannette Y. (Gerard) Bouchard, died Monday at his home after a lengthy illness. Mr. Bouchard was born on August 9, 1932 in Salem son of the late Philippe and Albertine (Tremblay) Bouchard. He was raised in Salem and graduated from Salem High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and served as a Corporal E-4 and was honorably discharged in 1960. Mr. Bouchard began his working career as an engineer with the Canon Company in Salem where he was employed for 20 years. He then worked at Transitron in Wakefield for the following 20 years. Prior to his retirement in 2003 and for the previous 10 years he was employed at Precision Connector Division in Peabody. Mr. Bouchard was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting and golfing. As hobbies he also enjoyed woodworking and gardening. He dedicated his entire life to his family and grandchildren. He is survived by his children and their spouses, Russell L. and Brenda Bouchard of Wilmington NC, David N. and Brenda Bouchard of Naples ME, Michael P. and Tina Bouchard of Peabody and Deborah A. and Phil Prince of No. Reading; 7 grandchildren, Amy Bouchard of Peabody, Kathleen and Lauren Bouchard of Wilmington NC, Ryan and Eric Bouchard of Naples ME, Matthew and Tyler Prince of No. Reading and many nieces and nephews. His siblings Cleo Bouchard and Pauline Cashman pre deceased him. His funeral will be held Friday at 10 a.m. from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 12 Chestnut St. location Peabody followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Salem - Peabody line. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours Thursday 4 to 8 p.m. Burial in St. Mary’ s Cemetery, Salem. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Hospice of the North Shore, 10 Elm St., Danvers MA 01923.
