Obituary of Monique J. (Moratille) LeClair

Monique J. (Moratille) Le Clair LYNN – Or SALEM – Monique J. (Moratille) Le Clair, 81, beloved wife and mother, died unexpectedly and peacefully at her home on Sunday morning April 26, 2015, while in the comforting presence of her family. Born in Sampigny, France, she was the daughter of the late Gaston and Leonie (Mathieu) Moratille. She grew up there, and met her husband of over 60 years while he was stationed in France. Mrs. Le Clair worked as a Bus Driver for Special Needs students for the City of Salem for many years. Monique enjoyed outdoor walks with her beloved dogs, going to the beach collecting shells, watching Bruins hockey, and spending time with her family. She really enjoyed being a Snowbird spending time in Clearwater, FL. She will be remembered as a kind and gentle woman who brought smiles to the faces of all who knew her. She is survived by her husband Rene Le Clair of Lynn; three sons, Edmond R. & his wife Robin A. Le Clair of Boxford, Alan Le Clair & his spouse Gregory Case of Lynn, and Steven Le Clair of Blackstone; two daughters Nancy & her husband Paul Civiello of Brentwood, NH and Michelle Le Clair of Salem; 12 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; a brother Bernard Moratille of France and sister Christiane Rappenne of France, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first born son Claude LeClair, brother Rene Moratille and four sisters Denise Vaillant, Ginette Louviot, Ghislaine Bolmont, and Marie-Therese Moratille all of France. A “Celebration of her Life” Mass will be held on June 13, 2015 at St Pius V Church, Maple Street, Lynn, Ma. All are invited to gather in her honor with the family at 11:00AM. Memorial donations may be made to an organization that benefits Special Needs children, and do an act of kindness towards another person.
