Obituary of Kathleen M. "Kathie" Tilton

Kathleen M (Morrison) (Zawacki) Tilton of Salem, died at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers on Wednesday May 6, following a brief illness. Kathie was born in Kittery, Maine on May 5, 1954, the daughter of Helen (Langevin) Morrison and the late Robert Morrison. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her three cherished daughters, Coreen McLaine of Beverly, Amy Ryan and her husband Jonathan of Hamilton, and Ryan Tilton of Salem and her fiancé Patrick Walsh of Lynnfield. She was the proud grandmother of seven grandchildren, Ashley, Julia, Samuel, Justin, Kyle, Benjamin, and Eloise. As an adult, Kathie returned to school where she earned her BA in Business Administration from Endicott College. She went on to complete two MBA degrees in Business and Human Resources Management from the University of Phoenix while working and raising her family. She was employed at Kronos in Chelmsford as Payroll Manager specializing in Taxes until the time of her illness. Kathie enjoyed her vegetable garden, cooking for a crowd, shoe shopping, lighthouses and grandchildren filled her life with joy. A friend of Bill W. for over 18 years, Kathie will be remembered for her generosity and willingness to reach out and held others. A Special thanks to her in home hospice nurse, Luz, and all the staff at Care Dimensions who took such gentle care of Kathie during her illness. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held in honor of Kathie on Tuesday May 12 from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the First Congregational Church of Hamilton, 624 Bay Rd (RT 1A) South Hamilton, MA. Friends and family are welcome. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St., Suite B -102, Danvers, MA 01923 of a charity of one’s choice. Arrangements were made by the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody.
