Obituary of Anthony Belli

Anthony Belli, 76, of Peabody, died late Monday evening at the Cedar Glen Nursing Home, Danvers, following a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Thelma M. (Roach) Belli. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Luigi and Angelina (Tircca) Belli. He was raised in East Boston before moving to Peabody 40 years ago. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, who served during WWII and was a recipient of the WWII, American Area and Asiatic Pacific Medal. He was in the transportation business and was the founder of Travel Time Bus Company in Peabody in which he started in 1974. He also was involved with a variety of other businesses on the North Shore as well. He is survived by 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Anthony Jr., and Kimberly Belli of Prescott, Arizona, Jack and Pamela Belli of Boxford, and Jim and Natalie Belli of Marblehead; a daughter, Denise Wells of Beverly; a brother, Gene Belli of New Jersey; 4 sisters and a brother-in-law, Eleanor and Randy Manella of Port Charlotte, Fla., Gilda Profenno of Tampa Fla., Rose Billotta of Everett, and Josephine De Louis of Stoneham; a sister-in-law, Rose Belli of Danvers, 17 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was the brother of the late Nicholas Belli. His funeral will be held on Thursday at 9:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut St.,Peabody Facility, followed by services at 10:00 AM in the Funeral Home to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation on Wednesday from 5 - 8 PM. Burial in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Expressions of Sympathy can be sent to Joslin Diabetes Center, 1 Joslin Place, Boston, MA 02215.
