Obituary of Magdalena Sedlier
Magdalena Margie (Lech) Sedlier, 98
PEABODY Magdalena Margie (Lech) Sedlier, 98, beloved wife of the late Michael Sedlier, died peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday morning at the Rosewood Nursing Home in Peabody, while she was in the company of her family.
Born in Salem, MA, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Clara (Grocki) Lech. She lived in Poland during World War I. She then came back to the United States, lived in Salem for a few years, then lived in Peabody for the last 70 years.
Mrs. Sedlier was an active communicant at St. Joseph’ s Church in Peabody, where she was a member of the Holy Rosary Society and the St. Michael’ s Society.
She is survived by: one son and daughter-in-law, Peter Sedlier & Linda Horton of Peabody; two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary & Jerry DeLucca and Sonia & Joseph Kolodziej, both of Peabody; 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held on Friday at 10 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut St. location, Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 AM in ST. John’ s Church, Peabody, to which relatives and friends are kindly invited.
A visitation will be held on Thursday from 4 to 7 P.M.
