Obituary of Catherine M. (Duggan) Mannke
Catherine M. “Cathy” (Duggan) Mannke, R.N., 62 of Peabody, died Friday, May 29, 2015 at the Lahey Medical Center, Burlington after a lengthy illness. She was born in Salem, MA on November 5, 1952, the daughter of the late Peabody Deputy Fire Chief Daniel J. and Cora (Smith) Duggan and had resided in Peabody most of her life.
she was a graduate of Peabody Veterans Mem. High School and later received her nursing degree from North Shore Community College. Cathy had worked for many years at different Nursing Homes on the North Shore. She had a love of animals and pets especially her Irish setter “Maddie”.
She also enjoyed time spent with her friends and family and taking island vacations.
She is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Skye Mannke and her grandsons, Josh Myers and Jack Barror all of Beverly, her sister and brother-in-law Carolyn and Richard Maddocks of Naples, FL, a sister-in-law, Carlene (Mahoney) Duggan, and her nieces and nephews, Daniel Duggan of Saugus, Kevin Duggan of Danvers, Derek Maddocks of Naples, Fl, Kimberly and her husband Charles Cummings of Beverly, MA and Shanine and her husband Shawn Griffin of Peabody. She was the sister of the late James
Duggan.
A Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2015 from 6-8 pm at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 20 Church St., downtown Peabody facility. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
