Obituary of Roger J. Gallant

Roger J. Gallant PEABODY – Roger J. Gallant, 68, beloved husband of Bonnie (Trabucco) Gallant of Peabody, died unexpectedly on Monday June 15, 2015 at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center Hospital in Burlington, while in the comforting presence of his family, after taking an ill turn over the weekend. Born in Peabody, he was the son of the late Phillip and Lucy (Fraser) Gallant and grew up in Middleton. He lived there many years, and learned about the movie business helping his father with the 114 Drive-In in Middleton. He lived in Peabody for many years . Mr. Gallant did his patriotic duty with service in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He had a passion for cars and was gifted with an ability to fix any issue. This led to being self-employed as an Auto Mechanic, and has enjoyed retirement for the last few years. Roger’s passion with cars included being an avid fan of NASCAR and classic cars. He was always grateful for social gatherings of family and friends. Roger especially loved spending every Wednesday with his great-nephews Nick and Matthew Trabucco. He is survived by his wife Bonnie (Trabucco) Gallant of Peabody, with whom he shared many wonderful years of marriage; three daughters, Lisa & her husband Stuart Katz of NH, Michelle Gallant & her husband Joe Pobiedzinski, and Denise Gallant, son Phillip Gallant and special niece Anne Trabucco all of Peabody; a brother Michael & his wife Lisa, two sisters Kathy and Ann, and also numerous nieces and nephews. Following cremation, a visitation will be held on Thursday from 4 – 8 P.M. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. Relatives and friends are kindly invited for his Funeral Service on Friday June 19, 2015 at 11 AM, in the funeral home. Urn burial will be in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers.
