Obituary of M. Joan (Scheidler) (Gantt) Pinto

M. Joan (Scheidler) Pinto LYNNFIELD – M. Joan (Scheidler) (Gantt) Pinto, 84, beloved wife of Antonio Pinto of Lynnfield, died peacefully on Friday evening at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers following an extended illness. Born in Indiana, she was the daughter of John and Genevieve (Anderson) Scheidler. She grew up in Indianapolis, and lived in Lynnfield for 50 years. Mrs. Pinto began her career as an English Teacher, and was a Secretary in Everett. Joan also worked at BayBanks in Beverly, and as a Bookkeeper at a local marine supply company. Joan was an avid reader of books, spent many hours gardening and loved to watch the birds outside of her home. She also had a special talent for creating lovely ceramic pieces. She is survived by her husband Antonio Pinto of Lynnfield, with whom she shared 35 years of marriage; a son Gary Gantt of NH; a daughter Amy-Jo Gantt of FL; a step-son Roger Pinto of Peabody, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Joan was preceded in death by a husband Donald Gantt. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather on Tuesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody followed by a Funeral Service at 10:30 A.M.
