Obituary of David T. "Dave" Stevenson

David T. “Dave” Stevenson 32, of Haverhill, died unexpectedly at his residence on Sunday, July 5, 2015. Dave was born in Mesa, AZ on March 10, 1983 the son of Madeleine E. “Mal” (Mullen) Hulslander of Lawrence, and of Roger Stevenson of Scottsdale, AZ. Dave was raised in Beverly by his mother and father, attended Beverly High School and was a 2001 “Space Odyssey graduate.” He then pursued his education at Gibbs College in Boston where he received an Associates degree in animation. He also resided in Malden for a few years before moving to Haverhill last year. Dave had been employed as a salesman in the telecommunications industry. Dave was an incredible artist and who enjoyed writing movie scripts with his brother Bill. He was also a fun and caring person and as such if anyone needed transportation all they had to do was call & he’d be right there to give them a ride. He will be greatly missed by so many whom he touched. In addition to his mother and step-father Douglas L. “Doug” Hulslander of Lawrence, Dave is survived by a brother, William “Bill’ Stevenson of Haverhill, a step-sister, Samantha Marshall and her husband Mark of Peabody; a step-brother, Adam Hulslander and his fiancée of Sarah Carmody of Peabody; his step-grandmother, Edna Hulslander of NH; his paternal grandmother, Frances Bliss of AZ; his paternal grandfather, Nelson Stevenson and his wife Doris of AZ; his aunts and uncles, Merilee and Bruce Dodge of Newburyport, Philip and Deborah Mullen of Ipswich, Eileen Sartell of Beverly, William and Jeanne Mullen of Peabody, Richard Mullen of Merrimack, NH, James and Janet Stevenson of CA, and Jeffrey Stevenson of AZ, Deb Hulslander of Saugus, and Bruce and Liz Hulslander of NH; 38 cousins and numerous friends. He was predeceased by his sister, Samantha J. “Sam” Stevenson in 2010, an aunt and 2 uncles, Susan Mullen and Thomas C. Mullen Jr., and Curtis Sartell. Dave’s family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody from 4 to 8 p.m. with a family service at 7 p.m. Cremation will be held on Friday.
