Obituary of Henry C. Swiniarski
Henry C. Swiniarski, 79, of Peabody, died Thursday afternoon at the Pilgrim Nursing Home in Peabody following a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of the late Betty (Cameron) Swiniarski.
Born in Salem, he was the son of the late John and Anna Swiniarski. He was raised and educated in Salem and attended Salem Public Schools. He has been living in Peabody for the past 42 years.
He was a veteran of World War II who served with the United States Army in Rhineland and Central Europe. After the war, he worked for over 42 years for General Electric River Works Plant in Lynn.
He enjoyed playing sports, football, baseball, and softball, and also enjoyed watching all of Boston’ s Professional sports teams. Mr. Swiniarski also enjoyed walking in the Newburyport Area and eating at the local restaurants and he also enjoyed playing the daily numbers and scratch tickets
He is survived by a son and daughter, John Swiniarski and Susan Begley, both of Peabody as well as three grandchildren, Leah Begley, Meredith Ouer and Sara Dodge-Swiniarski.
His Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 20 Church Street, Peabody Facility to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM. Following cremation, burial will be private.
