Obituary of Virginia G. "Ginny" (Burdick) Hogan Lomas

Virginia G. Ginny (Burdick) Hogan Lomas 83 years of Peabody died Sunday at the Rosewood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Peabody surrounded by 4 of her grandchildren, Deborah Clancy , Mark, Kim, Michael and 3 great grandchildren. She was the wife of Martin F. Hogan who died on July 15, 1969 and wife of Harry Lomas Jr., who died November 11, 2005. Mrs. Lomas was born on December 21, 1922 in Boston daughter of the late Stanton and Rhea (SanSoucie) Burdick. She was raised in Dorchester and graduated in 1940. She resided in Dorchester before moving to Peabody in 1973. Mrs. Lomas was employed for many years as a secretary for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Division for the Blind. She is survived by a son and his wife, Martin and Naomi Hogan of Milford, DE; 3 stepchildren and their spouses, Fred and Janice Lomas of Peabody, Harry and Annette Lomas III of Reading and Susan DeCourcy of Brentwood, NH; 11 grandchildren, Deborah Clancy , Michael, Mark, Kim, Heather, Eric, Jennifer, Andrew, Harry IV, Jeffrey and Amy Jo; several great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Her daughter Virginia Spacco pre deceased her. A family graveside service was held Thursday February 16, 2006 at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Arrangements by the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, Peabody, MA.
