Obituary of Felix "Joe" A. Litwin

Felix A. “Joe” Litwin PEABODY – Felix A. “Joe” Litwin, 81, beloved husband of Jeanette (O’Neil) Litwin, died peacefully on Saturday July 18, 2015 at the Peabody Glen Skilled Nursing Center in Peabody, following an extended illness. Born in Peabody, he was the son of the late Frank and Genevieve (Venglasz) Litwin. He was a lifelong resident of the city, and graduated from Peabody High School, Class of 1951. He served in the Massachusetts National Guard for 10 years. Mr. Litwin was a gifted Automobile Mechanic working in the family business, Litwin Motor Company of Salem. Later he worked as a Truck Driver with Porcella Construction and Fantoni Construction, and then worked 15 years as a Custodian in the Peabody Public Schools. After retiring, he continued to work as a driver for Cap’s Auto Parts. Joe had a passion for cars. He built and raced several Midget Cars, and was an avid fan of Nascar racing. He enjoyed his Polish hertigage, reflected with his family broadcasting “The Polish Hour” on WESX. He is survived by his beloved wife, Jeanette (O’Neil) Litwin of Peabody, with whom he shared 63 years of marriage; a son and four daughters, Marilyn Ambrozavitch of Salem, Donna Freeman of Peabody, Debbie O’Donnell of Saugus, Maureen Hutchins of Peabody, and Joseph Litwin of Peabody; 12 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren; one brother Robert Litwin of Peabody, and several nieces and nephews. A private family Funeral Service will be held. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
