Obituary of Richard E. Bouchard
Richard E. Bouchard, 74, of Beverly and formerly of Salem and Peabody, died Tuesday at the Beverly Hospital with his family at his side. He was born in Salem, MA on September 24, 1940, the son of the late Louis Phillip and Frances (Johnston) Bouchard and was raised and educated there. He later resided in Peabody for 40 years before moving to Beverly.
Richard had been employed at the Jordan Marsh Company restaurant at the North Shore Shopping Center, Peabody for 35 years prior to his retirement. While living in Salem, He was a member of the St. Joseph Holy Name Society and their bowling league. Richard was a very lovable outgoing person who loved to talk and carry on conversations with everyone he met. He enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, playing solitaire and especially watching wrestling matches, the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots on television. He also enjoyed the Wheel of Fortune game, the Lawrence Welk show, and playing dominos with his friends at Essex Park.
He is survived by his siblings: L. Phillip Bouchard, Jr. and his wife Kathleen of Beverly, and Renee Tyrrell of Peabody; his nieces and nephew Sherri (Tyrrell) and D. Michael Foster of Pleasant Valley, NY; Joseph Bouchard of Beverly, MA, and Nicole (Bouchard) and Scott MacDonald of Salem, as well as many cousins, and family friends. Richard especially loved his Essex Park family and staff. The family wishes to express their deepest thanks to the caregivers at Essex Park Nursing Home and the CCU staff at Beverly Hospital for their kindness.
A Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2015 from 10:00 until 11:30 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility followed by Services at 11:30 AM. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem. In lieu of flowers donations of sympathy may be made to the Essex Park Activities Fund, 265 Essex St., Beverly, MA 01915 in Richard’s memory.
