Obituary of Thomas J. Tavernese

Thomas J. Tavernese, 70, of Salem, MA, died unexpectedly Wednesday July 29, 2015 at his home. He was born in Arlington, MA the son of the late Dominic and Yolanda (Macri) Tavernese and was raised and educated in Lynn, MA. He had resided in Swampscott before moving to Salem 8 years ago. He had been an independent contractor in the painting and decorating business and also in landscaping throughout the north shore for over 40 years. He had been an avid golfer playing at Old Salem Greens and other courses. He is survived by his siblings, Rosalie and his twin sister Theresa Tavernese , Annette Fountain and Salvatore and his wife Deborah Tavernese all of Peabody, Joseph and his wife Norma Tavernese of Rochester, NH, and Dominic Tavernese of Lynn, MA, a sister-in-law, Barbara Tavernese of Peabody and several nieces and nephews . He was the brother of the late John Tavernese, Jean Archung and Mary Bumbaca. A Visitation will be held on Monday , August 3, 2015 from 3:00 until 7:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. His funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9:00 AM from the Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Lynn St., Peabody at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
