Obituary of Panagiota (Tzortzis) Pramataris

Panagiota (Tzortzis) Pramataris 84, of Salem, wife of the late Elias Pramataris, died on Thursday, July 30, 2015 with her family by her side at the Kaplan Family Hospice House. Mrs. Pramataris was born in Ieraka Laconia Greece on March 3, 1931 the daughter of the late Lambros and Katerina (Lafkas) Tzortzis. She was raised and educated in Greece and immigrated to the United States in 1971 making her home in Salem. Mrs. Pramataris was employed for many years as a stitcher at Salem Shoe and then at Brothers Deli Restaurant on Main St., Peabody. She was a loving mother who devoted her life to creating a home for her family and enjoyed her cherished grandchildren and 2 great granddaughters. As hobbies, she enjoyed sewing, cooking, traveling and following her Greek shows on TV. Mrs. Pramataris is survived by her children and their spouses, Hrisoula and Petros Gouvousis, Peter Pramataris of Salem, and Katina and Phillip Kritikos of Peabody; 3 grandchildren, Stacey Ioakimidis and her husband Christos, Vicki Kritikos and Tony Kritikos, and 2 great granddaughters, Chryssa and Katerina Ioakimidis; a sister, Hrisoula Koulouris of Salem, a sister-in-law, Peggy Tzortzis, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Andreas Tzortzis, Gianoula Tzortzis and Maria Belesis. Her family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, August 2, 2015 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. Her funeral will be held on Monday, August 3rd at 9 a.m. from the funeral home followed by a service at 10 a.m. at St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church Educational Center, 7 Paleologos St., Peabody.
