Obituary of Ruth A. (Burnham) Esposito

Ruth Alice (Burnham) Esposito 88 of Newburyport, loving wife of the late Warren E. Esposito, died on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 with her family by her side at the Port Health Care Center in Newburyport. Mrs. Esposito was born in Lynn on August 9, 1926, daughter of Frank W. and Alice L. (Hammond) Burnham, raised and educated in Lynn. Prior to moving to Newburyport in 2010, she resided in Peabody, Salem, NH and Barefoot Bay, FL. Ruth was employed for 28 years at Western Electric / New England Telephone retiring in 1983 as a quality assurance inspector. She was a loving mother who devoted her life to creating a home for her family and was so proud of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ruth was a happy person who went out of her way to comfort others with a “God love you” or a God bless you” at any time. Ruth was extremely religious and devoted to St. Jude, and was quite active as a parishioner at St. Luke’s Church in Barefoot Bay. She enjoyed entertaining family and friends, and as hobbies playing cards, painting and “keeping a clean house”. Ruth is survived by her loving children and their spouses, Nicholas and Susan Esposito of Lakeville, Janet and James Keay of Raynham, David and Lynn Esposito of Newburyport, James and Lisa Esposito of Fremont, NH, her twins, Glen Esposito of Lee, NH, and Gary Esposito of Atlanta, GA; 19 cherished grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; 6 nieces and 1 nephew. She was predeceased by her son Warren “Skip” Esposito in 2014 and her sister Marion Fiske in 1994. Ruth’s Memorial Mass on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church, 16 Church St., Peabody, followed by her urn committal at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Salem.
