Obituary of John A. Martucci
John A. Martucci, 63 years, husband of Carolyn E. (Andrews) Martucci of Peabody, died Saturday at the Kindred Hospital in Peabody after a lengthy chronic illness.
Mr. Martucci was born July 24, 1939 in East Boston son of the late Anthony J. and Mildred C. (Lochiatto) Martucci. He was raised in Boston and graduated from East Boston High School class of 1957. He had been a resident of Danvers from 1974 prior to moving to Peabody in 1989.
Mr. Martucci was employed for many years as a cutter at Haskell Sportswear in East Boston until his retirement in 1989 due to a chronic illness. He was dedicated to his family and loved animals especially his parrot Buddy . He also enjoyed music.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Anthony J. Martucci of Peabody; a daughter, Evelyn M. Martucci of Peabody; 2 brothers and 3 sisters-in-law, Peter and Doris Censabella of Germany, Joseph and Gerry Censabella of Salem and Janice Censabella of Saugus; 2 sisters and brothers-in-law, Marie and Joseph Kascus of Burlington VT., Beverly and Kenneth Girten of Pembroke; his mother-in-law, Evelyn E. Andrews of Peabody and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 12 Chestnut St., Peabody location (978-531-0398). Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours Thursday 5 - 8 p.m. Burial in Puritan Memorial Park, Peabody.
