Obituary of Robert W. Guzofski

Robert W. Guzofski, 74 years of Peabody, husband of the late Madeline C. (Carter) Guzofski, died Thursday at the Harborside Cedar Glen Nursing Home in Danvers. Mr. Guzofski was born October 27, 1927 in Peabody son of the late Anthony J. and Marion A. (McCarthy) Guzofski. He was raised, educated in Peabody and was a lifelong resident of the city. For most of his life Mr. Guzofski was employed as a leather worker retiring in 1986 from the former A.C. Lawrence Leather Co. of Peabody. He was well known to Salem Country Club members in Peabody where he caddied for over 50 years. He is survived by a sister, Dorothy Ronan of Peabody; 2 brothers and their wives, John and Lillian Guzofski and James and Lita Guzofski all of Peabody; a niece, Carole Bergeron of Peabody and several other nieces and nephews. His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 11 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Church, Peabody, Relatives and friends may pay their respects Monday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the Cahill-Brodeur facility at 20 Church St., Peabody of the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Hospice of the North Shore, 10 Elm St., Danvers MA 01923.
