Obituary of Janet Woolley
Janet (Callahan) Woolley, 68, of Peabody, died late Wednesday afternoon at the Lahey Clinic, Burlington following a brief illness. She was the wife of Gordon A. Woolley of Bridgewater.
Born and raised in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late James E. & Marjorie (Griffin) Callahan. She had attended Peabody Public Schools and was a graduate of Peabody High School, Class of 1951.
After raising her children, She had worked for over 25 years as a medical Transcript Technician for Brigham & Women’ s Hospital and for 5 years at Boston City Hospital, both in Boston, before retiring a few years ago.
She also had volunteered at the Peabody Community Life Center for 10 years.
Besides her husband, she is survived by 3 sons, Don Woolley of Beckley, West Virginia, Paul Woolley of Salem, and Keith Woolley of Hudson, NH; a daughter, B.W. Gonzales of Oregon, and 5 grandchildren.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 10:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut St., Peabody facility. Visitations on Friday from 5-7 PM to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
