Obituary of Frank Fox Chambers

Frank Fox Chambers, 80, of Peabody, died peacefully Monday evening surrounded by his family at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, following a brief illness. He was the beloved husband of Nancy R. (Elwood) Chambers. Born in Lynn, he was the son of the late John and Molly (Carey) Chambers. He was raised and educated in Marblehead, later residing in Peabody for his last 40+ years. Frank served with the United States Marines and was a veteran of the Korean War. Frank was employed as a chef for several North Shore Restaurants, including the Hampshire House of Boston, Salem Country Club and Thompson Country Club. Frank loved fishing with family and friends. He also loved his Quarter Horses, whom he Showed and won many ribbons and trophies. Always the character, Frank had many stories, jokes and facial expressions to get a laugh. With a unforgettable smile and outgoing personality, he was loved by many. Frank is survived by his four children, Cory and his wife Kim Chambers of OH, Scott Chambers of NH, Brian Chambers of Peabody and Kathleen and her husband Brian McLaughlin of Peabody and six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sisters, Frances Pallis and Judy Aldridge. Following cremation, a family graveside service will be held on Saturday September 19 at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody at 11:00 AM to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Arrangements were made by the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody.
