Obituary of Helena T. (Shannon) Earle

Helena T. (Shannon) Earle, 97, of Newburyport, MA died Wednesday at the Brigham Manor in Newburyport after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Lyman H, Earle. She was born in Peabody on February 9, 1918, the daughter of the late Thomas and Catherine (Keville) Shannon and had resided most of her life in Peabody. She had been employed in the leather industry at Clayman’s Shoe Company and later at the A.C Lawrence Leather Co. Peabody prior to her Retirement. Helena enjoyed listening to music of all kinds and was a loyal New England sports fan watching the Patriots and Red Sox games. She was very devoted to her family. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Eileen and Stuart “Mickey” Sharp of Conway, SC, her cherished grandchildren and their spouses, Richard Psarros of Haverhill, Beth Psarros Jones and Joe Jones of Georgetown, Derek and Amy Sharp of Townsend and Shannon and Darrin Marriner of Belfast, Maine, 10 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Lyman “Bobby” Earle and Patricia Winecour and the sister of the late George and James Shannon, Mary Thomas and Alice Kulakowski. A Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3:00 until 5:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. Her funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
