Obituary of Charles J Kerivan, Jr.

CHARLES J. Kerivan Jr. of Peabody Sept 28, 2015 at age 80. Devoted husband of 56 years to M. Anne Kerivan. Loving father of Kathleen Salerno & her husband James of Peabody, Joan Casper & her husband Joseph of Peabody & Charles J. Kerivan III & his wife Alison of Beverly. Adoring "Papa" to Matthew, James & Lauren Salerno, Nicole & Carolyn Casper & Brendan, Eliza & Annabelle Kerivan. Dear brother of Kay Carey of Plymouth. A Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2 from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. His funeral will be held on Saturday, October 3, at 9:00 AM at the Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Ann's Church, Peabody at 10:00 AM. He will be laid to rest in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Lynn. Charlie was born in Lynn, a graduate of Classical High School, class of 1952. He served 4 years in the Air Force. He graduated from Bentley College in 1960. He embarked on a 30 year career as a revenue agent with the IRS. He spent his retirement as a tax practitioner in Peabody. Known as "The Whip," Charlie was a state wide softball pitching legend winning the state championship with the Tannes Local 257. But one of his proudest accomplishments was coaching his son's B-Farm Rangers little league team to the 1976 Championship. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Care Dimensions @ hns.org
